In April, My Sunshine and I teamed up with children’s modelling Academy, topkidsinternational and ANGA IMAX Cinemas to organize a one of a kind children’s fashion show, the Top Kids Sunshine Fashion Show. It was a day of fun, fashion and movies held at the newly opened Anga Imax Cinemas in Diamond Plaza 2, Parklands. The two-hour fashion extravaganza was topped off by a complimentary screening of the newly released Marvel Movie Avengers: Infinity War by Anga Imax.
The well-attended show featured fashionable casual wear from well-known store Woolworths and newcomer in the Kenyan Market Platform. There were elaborate Indian outfits from exclusive ethnic wear store Lavis International. Award winning designer kokidesigns and emerging designer Bleria-fashion designs showcased unique creations from their latest children’s collection. Boutique children’s store kidsonfleek thrilled the audience with their stunning party dresses. Young hair accessory designer WOW-HairBows had one-of-a-kind hair accessories to add a touch of fun and wow to any girls’ outfit. Here are some of my favourite looks from the show.
Top Kids Sunshine Fashion Show was all about bringing fashion to the children’s level and encouraging them to express their fashion preferences from childhood. topkidsinternational’s directors, Yury and Lolita Kozyrev, said that they train children aged 4years to 14 years on how to catwalk on the runway, pose in front of a camera and be confident on any stage. Their young models, both boys and girls, wowed the audience with their skilled runway walks and amazing poses. Backstage I was so impressed by the children’s discipline and how much they were enjoying themselves! The way they carried themselves, interacted with the different designers and patiently waited to change into different outfits and get on stage … AMAZING! If your Sunshine is interested in modelling, I think you should definitely check out topkidsinternational.
Aaand….. Top Kids Sunshine Fashion Show was featured in the local newspaper and Asian Weekly! Woohoo!
(I will post about WOW-HairBows separately because I do not have all their pictures yet.)
